Andrea was waiting for us outside our BnB in Rome and took us on the most relaxing tour to Tuscany for our first day in Italy - the Wine vineyard was wonderfull and very mom and pop. We requested to do a stop overs at a small town art site and Aiello Tours was very accomodating.
Andrea spoke perfect english and noted to us on sites as we drove around - he gave us some history of the area during the day .. He is an exeptional employee of Aiello Tours - We enjoyed every moment with him.

Even though we've filled out the on-line survey sent to us by your company, we just felt that we didn't have the opportunity to really let you know just how amazing we felt Andrea and Lucia did as our driver and guide for our tour of Rome on 12 August, 2011.
Andrea met us on time in our hotel lobby, and we were very impressed by his dress for the day. He wore a dark suit and tie and looked very professional. He immediately introduced himself to us, and came across as very warm and friendly. Throughout the entire tour, whenever we were coming back to the car, he made sure the air conditioning was on, so that we came back to a cool car. So appreciated, since it was a very hot day. He was always on hand to help with my wife's wheelchair, and to make sure she got into the car ok. On our drive to the Vatican, he was very entertaining and informative, always pointing out places of interest along the way and what it was like to live in the area. This really added to our experience, especially this being our first trip to Italy. He was very open to conversation and questions which made us feel very comfortable and relaxed with him. Since Sue was in a wheelchair, Andrea, always got us as close as possible to the entrances of the attractions. He even offered to help push the wheelchair if I needed help. He was so much more than just a driver to us.
Lucia, met us at the entrance of the Vatican, our first stop, introduced herself, and was very personable and friendly. We immediately felt very comfortable with her. She started out by going over the plan for the day, and then we proceeded in to the Vatican. We were amazed that we went right through the entrance and into the lobby. From there we started our tour. Her knowledge of history, art, sculpture, and the architecture we saw was phenomenal. She never made it feel like we were being rushed or in a hurry. We took our time and was able to look at everything we wanted to. There were many opportunities where Lucia would suggest a little break and during that break, she would just elaborate on both what we've just seen and what we are about to see. We were very appreciative of how she would run interference for us so that we had no problems getting the wheelchair through the sometimes massive crowds. She was more than happy to play photographer and take our picture. She and Andrea were so aware of our having a wheelchair, and made sure that whatever route we took, was the easiest for us to get around. That really made it so easy for us to enjoy the tour. We were able to go to every site that we wanted to see. Having lunch in Piazza Navona with Lucia was really special for us. It was the first time we ate at a restaurant in Rome and Lucia, at our suggestion, was more than happy to recommend something light to eat. We were so happy that she was able to join us. Unfortunately, Andrea had to stay with the car and was unable to come with us. We felt bad about that, but of course, understood.
Rome was our first stop on a two week trip to Italy, and we have to say that meeting Andrea and Lucia was the best way to start a vacation. They were just so warm and friendly that it was more like spending the day with a couple of new friends rather than going on a tour. They were the perfect fit for us. Both Lucia and Andrea, we feel, far exceeded our expectations for this tour and did your company proud. They really seemed to enjoy what they do. It was such a pleasure to meet and spend time with them.
Please pass this email on to both Andrea and Lucia, so that they know just how much we appreciated all that they did for us. They both fondly live on in the stories that we share with family and friends about our trip to Italy. I wanted to thank you for arranging this tour, Ms. Lucia was amazing! We had the time of our lives and Ms. Lucia was extremely informative and very considerate of my elderly mother's needs to navigate the stairs, stay as cool as possible, avoid the crowds, etc. She carefully explained what we were seeing and brought the items to life with her description and passion for the subject. I could tell she is very accomplished at what she does, not only because of her deep, personal knowledge of the subject, but also since she is so aware of her guests comprehension level, she can quickly sense when to add more explanation if required. All in all, I could not say that anything could have gone better, except possibly having the rest of the tourists stay home for the day and to have more air conditioning! She was simply fabulous, and I would be more than happy to be a reference for you if you would ever think that would be helpful. My mother and I enjoyed discussing the entire time we spent with Ms. Lucia later that day and going over some of the major points she made that we thought were so insightful. I expect we will continue to discuss this for years to come.
All of the arrangements, such as how to meet in the morning, etc, that you set up worked perfectly as well. It was a pleasure to deal with such a professional group as yours.

I apologize for not yet contacting you regarding our tours.. We were in the UK for a time after Italy, however we have now been home in Canada for 2 weeks and I had planned to write a letter as soon as I got home.
I will fill in your questionnaire as requested but wanted to tell you that your tours were absolutely excellent! The quality of guide, the small group, the attention and interest in the children really made them outstanding and as we only had a week in Rome, really allowed us to fit so much more interest and value into our time! I have already given your contact information to two families.
I particularly wanted to express how fabulous Lucia and Lauren were as tour guides (Ancient Rome and Vatican respectively). They both were extremely enthusiastic about their subject - passionate would be the word, and they both presented the history in the form of story which really caught the children's interest (and to be honest the adults too). THE two other families that were with us for Ancient Rome particularly asked me to send a note stating how fantastic Lucia was.
As you know we made a last minute change to our Pompeii tour reducing the hours and adding a drive to Sorrento. All three families agreed that this combination of Pompeii and Sorrento really made the day - a great balance and contrast and we are so glad we had that opportunity. For future clients I would highly recommend that consultants recommend this combination, as I think it was better than either trip alone. The last minute flexibility was appreciated.
Also, Alfredo and Nina had told the children that we would be e-mailed the recipes they made so that they could make them again. I have not received those so maybe you could check into that as the children want to get together and do that. Also we said we would send Alfredo and Nina some photos which I understood to send through you. I have not yet even downloaded our photos but wanted to check if this is appropriate and if so will send those on once I have them.
Again I wanted to express our great satisfaction with our tours and to particularly comment on the excellence of Lucia and Laura. We will definitely pass your contact information to friends going to Rome or Florence!

Please do share this with Ann and Lucia. We learned about Nancy Aiello Tours through Ciao Bambino on line while searching for kid friendly guides to Rome. We had about 6 to choose from and I chose yours after reading the reviews.
Ann was absolutely indispensable in planning our trip. She was very friendly and not only welcomed our questions, but answered ALL of them promptly and in an exceptionally organized manner. She is very efficient and you are lucky to have her on your team. She could not have made planning our time in Rome easier than she did. She even helped me choose a hotel. I asked for recommendations for hotels with pools knowing that my children would want to relax after sightseeing. These are apparently hard to find in Rome but she suggested several. I would just like to add our hotel to your list of hotels with pools in Rome. The Crown Plaza Hotel at St. Peter's. While it was an American Hotel off the beaten path, it was luxurious and very accommodating especially for the price. We took both public transportation and cabs to get to the city and the Vatican.
Lucia was also an excellent tour guide in Rome and we enjoyed being with her every day. Her knowledge of the city was expansive and almost unbelievable. We all appreciated her laid back manner and her efforts in always trying to engage our boys.
I will definitely recommend your company to others travelling abroad especially those with children. Thank you for your services and giving me the opportunity to write this review.

Thank you for an experience we will never forget. Our Vatican tour guide was wonderful. We had 6 children, ages 8 - 15, and she captured their attention with just the right amount of detail. She selected a colorful local restaurant for lunch, which was also a hit with our group. She has wonderful English skills and is very knowledgeable in history and art. I travel a great deal - and she is one of the best. I found your tour on line. Another family member was arranging tours, and having done this before, I was not comfortable with what I was reading in the tour he had selected. Many tours say "children friendly", which means they throw in a few items for the kids, but it is the usual adult tour. With 6 children - I wanted a tour directed to them, with the adults on the sidelines. Our guide gave us that, and the children were totally engaged.

I know it has been several months but I have kept this email and now I'm getting some time to complete it. Giulia was such a good knowledgeable guide. She was very personable and very kid friendly. We had booked the Coliseum tour with you and then asked you to include the "Underground" tour. You did so and I must say that tour was not very impressive. The tour guide, while very knowledgeable, spoke above the kids level of comprehension and we missed out on Giulia's knowledge and kid friendliness. The whole time I kept thinking, "I wish Giulia could be doing it". Our driver to Pompeii and back was very good. We hit a very bad rain storm on our return trip. The driving for him was very difficult yet I felt completely safe with him at the wheel. I didn't realize how large Pompeii was until we began the tour. I felt like we needed more time there. We really only got 2 or maybe 2 1/2 hours there.
Both guides were great at getting the tickets for us and haggled to get us discounts!!!

We just returned from our week trip to Italy and the 4 days we spent in Rome with your knowledgeable, energetic and fun licensed guide Roberta were fantastic.
I truly believe we saw more in 4 days than most people see in 2 weeks. Roberta made sure we never stood in line for anything - we literally walked into both the Vatican and the Vatican museum. Besides seeing many of the major sites in Rome proper, we also spent a day in Tivoli. Our group of 9 ranged in age from 12 to 69and had a variety of interests and physical abilities.
Roberta made sure that there something each day to appeal to every member of our family.
For example, my 69-year-old dad wanted to visit some local open air markets and try restaurants with some true atmosphere; my teenage sons were interested in the more bizarre sites such as the catacombs and the Crypt of the Capuchins. This is just a sampling of what we accomplished in a very few days. We were able to go at a pace that kept the younger members involved, but did not wear out my parents.
For our family, this was a truly memorable experience and the best way to see Rome in a short time.
