The island of Murano looks similar to Venice but it is much quieter. Charming architecture, canals, and bridges make it a relaxing place to stroll and learn. This Island offers a great living example of the central role that family and traditions play in a community and history. Murano internationally renowned for a glassmaking industry that dates back to the 13th century continues to produce ornate glass objects thanks to generations of glassmakers who apprenticed their sons and daughters to make sure this precious art craft survived. Your children imagination will run wild as they see artisans creating intricate handcrafted pieces.
Further north in the lagoon lies Burano, one of the most colorful towns in the world. This tiny island resembles a Venice in miniature. Stroll along Burano’s vibrant waterways and hidden courtyards. Burano is a picturesque fishing village made up of hundreds of candy colored small houses. Each house has different colors. Legend has it that the fishermen used this to their advantage as the colors helped them navigate their way home through the fog. Burano is also well-known for its lacemaking traditions, which dates back to 1500. However, today you can still see old ladies that hand-made lace. Burano is also home to a bell tower that over the years has started to lean. It may not be the Leaning Tower of Pisa but children will enjoy catching a glimpse of this unique bell tower.

MORE EXPERIENCES TO INSPIRE YOUR ITALIAN VACATION
We had a wonderful time in Italy. Your guides were fantastic. Marco was extremely knowledgeable about Florence and all of the art and architecture in the City. He was able to engage my 80-year-old parents and my teenage sons. Stephania was a fabulous guide in Pompeii. She had tremendous energy and enthusiasm for the subject matter and really made ancient Pompeii come to life for us. Lucia was just as fabulous as Marco and Stephania. She had lots of great things to tell us about Rome, ancient life in Rome, Roman history and all of the art and architecture. Her tour of the Vatican was superb. My whole family can’t stop talking about how great all of your guides were. They really made the trip. All of your drivers were extremely friendly and accommodating. I will recommend your tour company to everyone! Thank you!
Our recent visit to Rome would not have been the same enriching experience without the tours we booked with your company. Luciana was our guide for Ancient Rome, Underground Rome and the Vatican/St.Peter’s. We were so impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject matter, and particularly the way she communicated with our two sons (ages 8 and 10). My children loved Luciana and were sad on the one day that we had not booked a tour. The primary reason we booked a private tour was to make sure the children would get the most out of the tours, and I feel that our children learned quite a lot (and enjoyed it!). I might not have considered booking a private tour if my husband and I had been traveling without our children. After our wonderful experience, I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Rome, (whether traveling alone, as a couple or with family), to book a tour with your company. We intend to return to Rome and plan to schedule some of the other tours.
